Mindfulness with ADHD
This interactive, beginner-friendly workshop is for adults living with ADHD* who would like to learn about mindfulness and explore short, practical techniques in a small and supportive group.
Guiding your session will be Emily, who trained with the Sussex Mindfulness Centre to teach Adapted Mindfulness-Based Interventions. Emily also brings her lived experience of being diagnosed with ADHD.
In this workshop, which is tailored to take the reality of ADHD minds and traits on board, we will explore:
What is mindfulness?
Myths and misconceptions about mindfulness
How to make mindfulness work for you
Practical ways to incorporate mindfulness into everyday life (at home or work)
You will also be invited to try several, short mindfulness practices (10 minutes or less) sometimes incorporating gentle mindful movements for the group, if suitable.
*People who are formally diagnosed, self-diagnosed, waiting for assessment, or questioning if they might have ADHD are all welcome at this session.
The next session will be in November at The Tree of Life Centre in Hove (ground floor). Please enquire below for availability and date. This session will be pay-what-you-can.
