Important questions

Please answer these questions below before booking or attending a mindfulness session with Emily.

If the answers are yes to any of these questions, please get in touch with Emily; you do not need to share any personal details about your answers and they will be kept confidential.

This information needs to be considered in planning the group and during the group, and to determine suitability.

As mentioned, it is not advisable to attend these sessions in the heat of a crisis, when it would be important to access your GP or a mental health clinician.

Questions

1. Have you ever experienced traumatic or frightening events in your life which still significantly affect you now? Do these memories come up repeatedly without warning, feel uncontrollable and cause a strong emotional response?

2. Is this the problem that you want help with now? Would you like the opportunity to work on this now?

3. Do you ever find yourself zoning out when you are under stress?

4. Do you notice an inability to recall events in your life that seems too extensive to be forgetfulness?

5. Do you ever lose significant amounts of time not due to alcohol or drugs?

6. Do you ever find yourself in places but do not remember going there? If so, does this happen often or for long absences?
